Basin busking with Pigsty Morris

Priston Jubilee and Pigsty Morris dancers

We took on the rain and won! (this time…)

With the Jubilee weekend of celebrations behind us and having had a few days to relax, we stepped into the fourth of our Grand Diamond Jubilee Tour nights in at The Cottage Inn (Baltic Wharf, Bristol) with good friends and fellow Cotswold-ers Pigsty Morris.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t as clement as the past few dates of our tour, but we didn’t let that hold us back!

Is that a rain dance?

Amongst the spitting rain, umbrellas and pack-a-macs for the musicians, we threw some Morris shapes on the waterside, keeping the smokers, passing runners, and local sailors entertained. There were even some interesting echo effects across the basin once the dancing really got going…

With the rainclouds coming in thick and fast and the light failing as a result, Pigsty invited us to a mass-dance to conclude the evening before we all moved inside to warm up, dry off and take the opportunity to catch up.

Thanks to everyone who made it on such a grim-looking day, as together we made it another great evening to remember!
